Thunders Love FOREST COLLECTION Oak Socks
Their Forest Oak Socks are inspired by the shifting colours of oak trees throughout the
seasons — from the deep greens of spring to the warm oranges and browns that arrive with
autumn.
They use a blend of five coloured Egyptian cotton yarns to knit these socks, combining
varied tones of green and orange. The socks are rib-knitted from the leg to the tip and
finished with a seamless toe to enhance comfort.

Ihre Forest Oak Socken sind von den wechselnden Farben der Eichenbäume im Laufe der Jahreszeiten
inspiriert – vom tiefen Grün des Frühlings bis zu den warmen Orange- und Brauntönen, die mit dem
Herbst kommen.
Für diese Socken wird eine Mischung aus fünf farbigen ägyptischen Baumwollgarnen verwendet,
die verschiedene Grün- und Orangetöne kombinieren. Die Socken sind vom Schaft bis zur Spitze
gerippt gestrickt und haben eine nahtlose Zehenpartie für mehr Komfort.

Thunders Love Socks
(EN) Thunders Love Socks are designed in a little village in the North west of Spain, at the bottom of a beautiful estuary, at the mouth of Lerez river, near Portugal border, there they are produced in small family workshops by hosiers who have been doing this throughout three generations. Their designs live of the traditional ways of knit in which these hosiers are experts, this combined to the highest cotton quality give our socks its spectacular presence.
Thunders Love Socks only use high quality materials, like Egyptian cotton, unique by its finest quality and famous by its long fiber and thin yarn. The long fiber increases the quality of the yarn, and the thin yarn provides more density to the fabric. Another agent that contributes to the high quality of the cotton is its manual harvest, it reduces the pressure on the fiber and protects it better. Recycled cotton is a material adapted to their philosophy of the respect of the environment. They work with cotton recycled in Spain, with offcuts coming from the textile industry. In order to make this type of cotton, chemical products like chlorine and other aggressive agents for the environment are not needed since the colours are created selecting them without any process of dyeing. Usually while harvesting and processing a lot of water is used, however, the recycled cotton doesn’t need any.
(DE) Thunders Love Socks werden in einem kleinen Dorf im Nordwesten Spaniens entworfen, am Fuße einer wunderschönen Flussmündung des Lerez, nahe der portugiesischen Grenze. Dort werden sie in kleinen Familienwerkstätten von Strumpfwirkern hergestellt, die dies schon seit drei Generationen tun. Ihre Entwürfe leben von den traditionellen Strickmethoden, in denen diese Strumpfwirte Experten sind, was in Kombination mit der höchsten Baumwollqualität unseren Socken ihre spektakuläre Präsenz verleiht.
Thunders Love Socks verwendet nur hochwertige Materialien, wie ägyptische Baumwolle, einzigartig durch ihre feinste Qualität und berühmt durch ihre lange Faser und ihr dünnes Garn. Die lange Faser erhöht die Qualität des Garns, und das dünne Garn verleiht dem Stoff mehr Dichte. Ein weiterer Faktor, der zur hohen Qualität der Baumwolle beiträgt, ist die manuelle Ernte, die den Druck auf die Fasern reduziert und sie besser schützt. Recycelte Baumwolle ist ein Material, das zu ihrer Philosophie des Umweltschutzes passt. Sie arbeiten mit Baumwolle, die in Spanien recycelt wird und deren Verschnitt aus der Textilindustrie stammt. Für die Herstellung dieser Art von Baumwolle werden keine chemischen Produkte wie Chlor oder andere umweltschädliche Stoffe benötigt, da die Farben durch die Auswahl der Baumwolle ohne Färbeprozess entstehen. Normalerweise wird bei der Ernte und Verarbeitung viel Wasser verbraucht, aber die recycelte Baumwolle braucht keins.
